There comes a time in every visual engineer’s journey when curiosity tightens its grip, and the siren song of creative folly becomes too melodic to resist. Such was the case this October past, when I found myself galloping headlong into a rather impromptu cinematic challenge, courtesy of one of my most esteemed YouTubian inventors, who was hosting a contest to win a GoPro camera.
Now, let it be known: I was not in dire need of a new apparatus. My vault of lenses and gears already sings a fine harmony. But there was something devilishly fun about the affair. The rules were simple, the stakes were low, and the potential for absurdity? Positively delightful.
Thus began a brief but spirited foray into spooky storytelling.
I acquired a curious mask, sourced, as all the best modern eldritch relics are, from the bazaars of Amazonia Prime. I then summoned my ever-willing assistant and blood relative, my nephew, to join me on set.
We filmed under the autumnal canopy, just a fortnight before All Hallows’ Eve, whilst I was steeped in a robust rotation of horror films — my mind ablaze with dread, delight, and dried corn syrup.
What emerged from that evening was a short film of eerie cheer, filmed purely for fun and the thrill of participation. Below you shall find the fruit of that moonlit endeavor.

Some stories write themselves. The rest, I take care of.
